Error opening saved .msg files.

Hi group.

We save a lot of mailmessages from outlook 2003 in different folders. They
go as .msg files.

We can open them once. When we have closed them and attempt to open them
again, we get the following error:

"Can't open file: <<file path>>.... The file may not exist, you may not
have permission to open it, or it may be open in another program."

I have found a lot of people having this problem, but have not been able to
find a sollution.

I guess its another MS bug because if I go to "tools -> options" and then
just click "OK" then I am able to open the .msg again - one time. Then I can
do the same again.

I have a lot of angry users, and I hope to find a sollution soon. Hope you
can help.

Did you check the file date-time? I'm affraid the msg file has been
changed (by opening it). I don't know why it's changed, but it doesn't
sound well.

You can give a try to a Outlook Add-in MailToFile !
This add-in saves the email as msg in a very structured method. Once
saved with mailtofile, you can open the email as often as you like,
you even can forward of reply on that msg! On www.mailtofile.com you
can get a normal working demoversion.
The version MailToFile Full even has a legacy function. Maybe you can
use that function to correct/repair all msg file allready on the
network.
Have a good day
