Error on Start-Up - please help

When I boot up computer (XP home on 1,4 Mhz Athalon,
512k) I get the following error message just after I log
into my profile:

"Windows cannot find "copy". Make sure you type the name
correctly. To search for a file, click Start, find...."

I just click OK and it goes right into my desktop with no
problem.

Any ideas on what can be giving this error message?

Hi,

Check Start/Run/Msconfig/Startup, your runkeys and of course as it suggests.
Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

One of the problems with XP is that it keeps a record of
loads of files no longer in use. I have had a similar
problem upgrading to XP from 2000 Pro and Microsoft could
not help. Find some software on the Internet, from
Digital River, called regsitry cleaner. Purchase a copy,
and used it. You will be amazed at all the junk that is
kept. The problem solved.
