error on restart

when I restart my computer I get a message that says
crogram~1\symanet\s32event1.an installable
virtual device driver failed dll instialization

behind that there is a black window with
C:\windows\s5osl.exe dispayed in the top left
hand corner

Hi Larry,

That error message references a Symantec Product....did you uninstall Norton
System Works prior to receiving the error message at startup? You might want
to have a look here (it's a lengthy URL, so you'll probably have to
