Error of registry : The registry is corrupt or has been modified

This error appears when a win98 client initiates a session in the Windows
2000 Terminal Server.

We are using SP4 for Windows 2000
Can anybody help

Is this a logon error you see coming from the terminal
server?

Have you tried giving the user a new profile or at least a
new ntuser.dat file?
