Error occured while Windows was working with Control Panel...

I received the following dialog box error message when deleting Temp
Internet files: 'Error occurred while Windows was working with the Control
Panel file C:\\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\INETCPL.CPL'
Can no longer delete Temp Internet files by using Tools|General|Temporary
Internet Files|Delete Files. IE 6.0, OS Win ME.
Any solution/help would be appreciated.
