Error NTDS KCC 1014

I seized the FSMO role for Schema Master and Domain Naming
master successfully and gave it to the very first server
that was upgraded to W2K server, who is also the PDC
emulator, RID Master, and Infrastucture master. That
server is not a Global Catalog server. I install Active
Directory Connector on the Global Catalog server. Now on
all my DC's in Event Viewer for Directory Services I am
getting the following error messages:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: NTDS KCC
Event Category: Knowledge Consistency Checker
Event ID: 1014
Date: 12/8/2003
Time: 10:59:15 AM
User: N/A
Computer: HEART
Description:
The replication topology update task terminated abnormally
with code e0010001.

Now What do I do to get rid of this message

Thank you for the info but that did not do it, still
getting the error message every 15 minutes on every DC
other than 2 DC, which are in sites that have multiple
DC's. The sites with single DC's(which are the majority)
are giving me the error message. Are the any settings in
regard to AD Sites and Services that would cause this. Are
you familiar with the Transports avaiable that a DC users
(IP or SMTP)?

Check http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?
eventid=1014&source= if it helps.

Error code e0010001 = DSA_EXCEPTION that is all I can find in platform SDK,
so I would run dcdiag and netdiag on troubled DC. What is your replication
protocol (IP i presume) ? Are all connection objects generated.
Use repadmin to verify which DC is your bridgehead server and if that DC is
ISTG (Intersite topology generator).

How do I check what protocol replication is using?
Some connection objects were manually created.
What repadmin command do you use to verify which DC is
your bridgehead server and if ISTG?

For ISTG role open NTDS Site Settings on Site object and go into properties.
You will se Inter Site Topology Generator.
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=224599
For bridgehead server use replmon (only version of repadmin from Windows
Server 2003 system shows this info using repadmin /bridgeheads) and add a
server. On server properties you have a tab for bridgehead servers.
You have probably created a site link between sites. On sitelinks you have
setup which protocol are you using. Probably you are using IP (RPC) as SMTP
can not replicate domain partitions, but only Schema and Configuration.....

I guess you mean when I goto Active Directory Sites and
Services but I do not see Inter Site Topology Generator.
I see Transports Available for Inter-site data transfer.

Yes, go into AD sites and services and click on the site in the left panel.
On the right side you will see NTDS Site Settings object + a site licensing
object. Go into NTDS Site object properties.
