What are you trying to do when this happens?
What application are you in?
What operation are you performing when you get the error messages?

PS: If you take the trouble to give the error message, it should be
VERBATIM. Did you actually see the word "madule" twice in your error
message?

Sorry, it is MODULE

It has happened while trying to install Adobe
Acrobat Reader after downloading it and tonight
after I received a
message that there was a Windows Update; the
download whet fine but when the installation
started
windows crashed. When I turn the computer back on
I get a message that it can't find the boot drive.
After turning it off and on anywhere from once to
three times it eventually finds the boot drive.

It has also shut down twice while I was
defragging, another time when I was using Word and
listening
to an MP3 at the same time.

Thanks

Katherine

It sounds like you may have some hardware failures since you are having
problems with unrelated activities. It may be your RAM, your hard
drive(s), your power supply - can't really say without looking at your
system. It's time to do some hardware testing, starting with the RAM.
If you can't do this, take the box to a good local computer repair shop
(not a CompUSA or BestBuy type of store).
