Error messsage every 30 seconds

after I restarted yesterday morning, I now get this popup error message every
30 seconds:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library : Runtime Error!

Program: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cidaemon.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

This is probably due to the indexing service. I have windows xpsp2 with all
updates installed from windows update site.
How would I solve this? I need the indexing service. I tried to do a system
restore but it failed.

Hi
you can try to start the "indexing service", maybe the problem is because of
the service isn't started.

Indexing service is already running.
In know because in cmd, i did: 'net start cisvc' and I got: 'The requested
service has already been started.'

Any other suggestions? This error is getting really annoying. It now comes
out more than 5 times per minute.

Have you got all the VBRuntime files installed?

The error said MS VC++ runtimes and not VB runtimes.
Still, msvcrt.dll 7.0.2600.2180 is installed in c:\windows\system32
