error messages

I cannot remove pop up error mesgs mostly virus inf. warnings even though my
virus scan is clear. Also some tasks I perform tells me an error has
occurred & it always pops up. How can I use my red recovery floppy disc 7
revert to a factory start. I have P/B. pc. XP 2 yrs. old. Thanks for any
help. Harold.
 
Your PC is infected with malaware, which is not the same as a virus.
A virus app will not neccessarily detect malaware.
Down load, update and run
MS Defender - microsoft
Adaware
SpyBot
Use all three
