Kyle

I have just recently installed Windows XP on my computer
and everything has ran fine until now. I kept getting
this message when my computer started up that said my
password was going to expire. Now every time I click on
Internet Explorer, My Computer, My Document, Control
Panel, etc. I get this error message titled "Explorer"
and it says "Failed to get data for 'ad'". Can anyone
please help me with this? It is really annoying! Thanks
for your time!

Kyle

Hi Kyle,

Most likely to be caused by spy or adware programs. You need to do some
cleanup:

1) Install and run Adaware from www.lavasoft.de

2) Install and run Spyware Blaster from
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

3) Dump all TIF's and selectively delete unwanted cookies

4) Turn on the native firewall or install a third-party one
