Error message

I recently moved a hard drive from an XP to my new Vista PC. This disk
contains camcorder footage in the form of mpegs. If I open a directory
containing these mpegs and show them as icons then I repeatedly get the
error message "Windows host process (Rundll32) has sopped working" but if I
display a list the error does not occur.

I've done a search on Google bu the only responses are to do with Nero. The
PC came with Roxio rather than Nero so these solutions don't apply.

Anyone got any ideas?

TIA

I was having trouble showing thumbnails of videos (kept getting the same
rundll32
error). I discovered that the problem was the lmpgspl.ax file in the
windows/system32 folder. I simply renamed the file 1lmpgspl.ax and the
problem went away. Video thumbnails now show without an error message.

That file does not exist here. :S
