error message

when i open OUTLOOK (2000) i get this message.

"OUTLOOK.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will
need to restart the program. An error log is being created."

Is there a way to get rid of this or atleast to to copy all my contacts
without opening OUTLOOK? I'm affraid that if i just re install i will lose
my contacts and i have ireplaceable info there.

All help will be appreciated.

Your contacts and mails, etc. are in your PST file. What size is your PST?
Outlook 2000 has a maximum size limit of 2 GB but the file can become
unstable around 1.5 or so GB.
You could try to run ScanPST.exe on the file, do a search for ScanPST.exe
and double-click it and follow the instructions. You may have to run it
several times.
