Hi! I am trying to install Security Component Upgrade from Windows, but I am
getting an error message that prevents me from doing so...the message is:
Line: 67...Char: 13...Error: Object doesn't support this properly or
method...Code: 0...URL:
http://drmlicense.one.microsft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp...can you please
help me explain what this error message is, how I can get rid of it, and how
I can download the Security Componant Upgrade...this all came about because I
am unable to burn CD's using Rhapsody, and this is the first step to try and
resove the Rhapsody problem, but I have noticed similar error messages when I
go to other web sites as well...thank you very much

Look at the link (drmlicense) while the link doesn't work - it would
suggest a DRM or WGA (bad version of XP) problem.

Please post a copy of the Error Report as it appears in Event Viewer.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of the error, information
regarding Event ID, Source and Description are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308427&Product=winxp

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Double click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error
Report. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from Event
Viewer.

Hope this helps.

I don't think this error is what's causing your problem. It's a fairly
common error related to the unloading of the user portion of the registry at
shutdown. The common solution is to install the User Profile Hive Cleanup
Service. It's downloadable from a link in this article.
