After reinstall of Office 2000 when trying to open an excel document the
following error message was displayed.
Cannot find (file name) or one of it's components. Make sure the path and
file name are correct and that all required libraries are available.
When an emaile with an excel attachment is received, just clicking on the
attachment results in the same error message.

Can anyone help please.
 
Sometimes one of these works:

Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)

--- or ---

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's
factory defaults.
