error message

when i'm playing on a game a blue screen comes up and i get the eror message DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. then my pc restarts. I am using XPsp1 fully updated, i have checked for any viruses
Does anyone know what this problem is and how to fix it.
