error message when trying to open Microsoft Access

i am running XP Professional w/sp2 I have total access to all of my office
programs but i cant open Access..it says access wont open because it doesn't
have licenses on this machine...i have tried everything possible but i cant
open access .please help me....

Assuming you're running ACCESS 97:

The cause is a font in ACCESS 97. See this MS Knowledge Base Article:
