Error Message when installing S/W over Internet

I'm getting the following error message when I try to
install 'Internet Explorer SP1' (ie6setup.exe) from my
HDD:

ie6wzd.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point InternetGetConnectedState could
not be located in the dynamic link library wininet.dll

ie6setup.exe contains ie6wzd.exe which I assume tries to
connect to the MS websit for the full download to take
place, but never gets further than error mesage above.

You probably have the wrong version of wininet.dll file.

Use SFC.EXE and extract the copy from your CD.
