error message wat does it mean?

on start up i get error box saying
hdreg
runtime error 53
file not found


please explain and help me put it right

my 2nd post and i had agreat deal of help on my first thanks to evey

that answer was abit too technical for me thanks any way

Hi,

Too technical how? Basically, you use the system configuration utility
(msconfig) to disable everything that loads at boot, then you selectively
allow some applications to start until the error occurs. When it happens,
then you know which one is causing the problem. Once you know what is
causing the problem, addressing it becomes much easier. Otherwise, I'd just
be guessing as to what's wrong.
