Error message upgrading to XP Pro

D

Doug Coleman

I was upgrading from home edition and at about 34
miniutes left in the installation, the screen went blank
for 2 seconds and then continued. At 33 minutes left in
the installation the screen went to a blue screen and i
got the following error message....
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut
down to prevent damage to your computer.

bad_pooler_caller

If this is the first time you received this stop error
screen, restart your computer."

I restarted the computer and setup started again and at
the same point the same thing happened. So I read the
rest of the error message and it said...

Check to see if any new hardware or software is properly
installed. Then it told me to go into safe mode and fix
hardware or software problems and disable bios memory
options such as caching or shadowing.

I also got this error message..

stop 0x000000C2 (0x00000007, 0x00000CD4, 0x00340045,
0xE1FC992C)

dump of physical memory
physical memory dump complete

I tried to go into safe mode but I got an error message
saying setup would not let me into safe mode.

Need some help on what to do

Thanks
