Error message, unable to remove 6.0

For many reasons, I need to remove IE 6 and re-install
it. When I go to add/remove programs and try to remove
it, I don't get 3 options instead I get an error box with
At the top it says "RUNDLL" and the message is: "error in
setupwbv.dll Missing entry: IE6 maintenance." I don't
know how to solve this. Thanks for any advice
 
don't think you can remove it, its part of windows, you
may be able to repair it. get another broswer.
