Error Message (This page cannot be displayed)

Anytime I go to a secure website or a secure part of a
website, I get the error message; "this page cannot be
displayed." I called Dell and after spending 3 hours on
the phone with a tech, they said the computer was ok,
that it was my ISP's problem. I called SBC and after
spending 2+ hours on the phone with 2 techs, they say it
is a browser problem. The problem just started within
the last 2 weeks. Previously the system operated
perfectly and I have added no programs or made any
changes to my computer. I have Windows XP with IE 6.0
installed. Any help or advice would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks,

If no joy, uninstall update 824145 in the Add/Remove programs.

I to have the same problem, with all web sites, netscape
browser will work but not IE 6, if you find an answer
please forward it to me!! I am at my wits end!

I wonder if some temporary files were deleted, my problem
started after running wash n go, usually i don't use it to
delete much of anything, but some how I did, I do not know
if this is the source though. Sometimes IE6 will load my
home page partially but that is it. Someone please help me!!!
