error message sound recording

I tried to past the error message but no go. It basicly says Pp cant
access c: etc.wav because the file or folder is read only.
I have recorded several hundred slides and no problem till today. What did
I do to cause this and can it be fixed so I can finish recording my lesson?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I have a dell M70 with MSOffice Pro and I am running on XT
 
Sorry that should be XP not XT. (service pack 2 version 2002)
and it is POST. I am having one of those days!
 
Problem solved. Probably a bad DLL. I opened net meeting and the voice part
must have restored the "bad" part. Anyway I can record again!
