error message regarding Internet Explorer

When I try to run a program I can't open it I get this
error message

This version supports Internet Explorer, versions 3.0x or
higher and Netscape Navigator, versions 3.0, 3.01 or 4.02
and higher. Could not find one of those browsers
registered on this computer. If one of them is
installed, launch it and try again. Otherwise, install
one of them and try again.

I have recently upgraded to Windows XP and it's installed
Internet Explorer 6.0. And I don't know how to fix this
problem. Please help!!
 
Might be an old program that can't run on XP. You should have listed the name of the program. Try right clicking on it and set it up for compatibility mode.
