Error message re outlook directory

Hi again,
As outlined before my outlook won't pull up the address book as
well as trying to read a floppy at every attempt to do something. I
reinstalled Office completely hoping that the prob would be resolved but it's
become worse.
Now I keep getting an error message saying " Can't contact LDAP
Directory Server (81)"
This is popping up all over outlook & when I move into explorer
it happens for a while too.
Any answers out there?

What version, please? And what kind of mail account?

Presuming you are using OL2002/2003, or OL2000 in Corporate/Workgroup mode,
have you tried creating a new mail profile for yourself?

What services do you have in your mail profile?

This is popping up all over outlook & when I move into
explorer it happens for a while too.

? Explorer? As in, IE?
