Error Message: "Properties for this information Service must be defined prior to use" - Outlook.pst

I was trying to open an Outlook PST file within Outlook and I got the
following message: "Properties for this information Service must be
defined prior to use" - Outlook.pst is not a Personal Folders File. I
was able to open other PST files within the same folder and to the
same destination. I have checked the properties and it is not Read
Only and not Compressed. Also I am logged on as an administrator and
it deninitely is an Outlook PST file as it has the .pst extension on
it. Can anyone Help me?

It may be damaged. Have you tried running the Inbox Repair Tool on it?

often this happens when you copy a PST from a CD. The PST is set to
read-only - Outlook needs write access to open it.
Check if the PST is read-only.
