error message Ox643

I am not able to install the latest .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack Security
Update.i keep getting error message Ox643.Anyone got a solution as to how to
fix this problem.Very frustrated

I had exactly this experience on a couple of machines on Tuesday.

What worked for me in the end was to look at add or remove programs, write
down each of the KB numbers of packages or updates relating to .NET 1.1,
then remove all of those packages, and reinstall them in numerical order.
