Error message on boot up!!! HEELLP!

C

Chris SLade

C:\windows\system32\tools\lostrun.exe

This error message has recently started to appear when I
log onto Windows xp home. It prompts me that maybe I
typed the file name wrong and to try again(!!??) I press
ok and carry on with using the computer(with no effects I
can see). WHat is it? How can I stop it popping up every
time I log on? Who invented liquid soap and why?

Cheers!!

Hi Chris

Start>Run - then type in "msconfig" - without the quotes. Click on the Startup tab - if there is any reference to 'lostrun.exe' in there, uncheck it and then reboot your PC. Does the same message still appear?
