Mike Williams

I'm getting an error message in Windows XP that I cannot
find information about at microsoft.com.

The error message says, "not enough quota available to
process command". I suspect that I have a problem within
the Windows XP operating system. I have run all the
hardware (cpu, memory, disk) diagnostics and there are no
problems with the hardware. My computer was purchased
with XP installed and I have passed my warranty period.
My question is, "what does 'not enough quota' mean?"
And, should I purchase a copy of Windows XP Home addition
and reinstall the software?

Thank you,

Mike

Disk quotas track and control disk space usage for NTFS volumes.
Administrators can restrict the amount of disk space a user can use.

If you have Administrator permissions, you can see and adjust the quota for
your logon. For complete step by step instructions, open Help and Support
and search on 'enable disk quotas' (without the quotes, natch.)

Thank you Rocky. I'll try that.
