Please help. Computer shut down completely, bought a new RAM and put Windows
XP Proffessional Disk in and while loading a message says........The file
ramdisk.sys is corrupted. What am I doing wrong

hmm, see if the ramdisk shows up in your hardware control panel. If so
disable it or unistall the driver. Not sure if it is loaded via your
c:\config.sys or c:\autoexec.bat, but you can open these files with notepad,
delete the line item if its there, and resave the files with their respectvie
file names.

Also, when you installed the new ram, did you happen to check out your
cmos/bios settngs? Some motherboards have options that are exclusive for the
ram. But if you have seen the ram testing countdown when your pc powers up,
then the cmos may be ok and has recognized your new ram......
