Error Message in Outlook 2003

Hi I am using Outlook 2003.

Say I am reading a message I have just received - when finished reading
I go to New Mail button. A new window opens and I diligently type in
all the usual information - who it is going to, CC the message etc.

However, when I try to send the message I get a dialog box telling me a
message is already open and it will not send for me.

Any suggestions, cheers, Andy.
 
And by diligently typing here you have multi posted, please don't, cross
