error message "could not open file"

In FP 2000, when I try to open a graphic file (jpg or
gif) I get the error message "could not open file". These
are not corrupt files since I can open them in IE and
they have also opened in the past.
Any suggestions?

You can only open images in FP, if you have Image/Graphic app configured under Tools | Option |
Configure Editors.
