Every time I try to open IE I get an error message that
says "Internet Explorer haa caused an error in <unknown>
and will now close". I am unable to open I.E. at all.

What does this error mean and how can I fix it? Every
time I try to open Internet Explorer this is the message I
get and I cannot access the internet.

I'm using Windows ME (which sucks I know).

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Unknown module is often the sign of some parasites.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

and:

SpyBot-S&D

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
