Error message at startup

I am receiving this error message when I log into any of the accounts on my
computer.
"Windows cannot find 'C:\Program'. Make sure you typed the name correctly,
and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then
click Search."
This started happening two or three days ago. What does it mean, and how can
I correct it? Thanks!
 
Strangely it's common Win 98 problem:-

To correct this problem,scan your system with latest versions of
spybot,search and destroy/CWShredder/Adaware.Run all of them in safe mode.
