Error Message at Startup

S

Scott

I have two computers networked. I have a drive letter set
up for the C drive of my other computer. Every time I
start up my Win 2000 machine (without the other one on) I
get the error message below.

The problem being windows does not continue to load after
the message comes up. So I have to click OK every time I
start up the computer. I do not want to disconect the
drive and I want the drive to automatically connect when
the other computer IS on (so I don't want to uncheck
reconnect at login).

HOW CAN I GET WINDOWS TO CONTINUE BOOTING INSTEAD OF
STOPPING WHEN THIS MESSAGE COMES UP?

I've seen posts about win 95 or 98 talking about "quick
login" but I can not seem to find this option in 2000.

Error message:

An error occurred while reconnecting F: to {my other
computer's C drive}

Microsoft Windows Network: The network path was not found.

Thanks,
Scott

Why not just use a script or batch file with 'net use' commands, if the PC
isn't on then the command just fails with no messages.
