Error message after installing SP 2

After installing the update I get and error message when
trying to run some programs or install programs. It
says...16 Bit Windows Subsystem...c:\Windows\System32
\autoexec.nt. This system file is not suitable for
running MS-Dos & Windows applications......I even
uninstalled SP 2 and it is still happening. What can I
do to solve this problem?

Thanks for the info and link but it did not work. I did
everything it said and I'm still getting the error
message.
