Error message 16 bit program

When trying to install a program I get the error that
windows cannot install the 16 bit program. I am using
Windows xp professional. I installed the same program on
another computer using Windows xp pro. and had no
problems. What is missing

Can you try:
Right click on the program->properties->Compatibility, try selecting
different compatibility mode setting, one of them may work for you

Try doing it through Start - All Programs - Accessories - Program
Compatibility wizard.

Browse it to the setup.exe or install.exe (and later to the installed
program's .exe) and tell it to pretend to be Win95
