Error Mess: Please Insert a disk into Drive A

New Window Duo computer w/ Xp Pro and new Sony Floppy drive. BIOS set for
1.44 Floppy, shows on My Computer, but when disk is inserted OS/Windows says:
Please Insert a disk into Drive A. Computer also has a drive for 4 types of
micro cards and I have not tried if these work. Why is the OS/Windows not
recognizing my Floppy dixk?

Possible reasons : 1. Defective floppy drive. 2. Defective cable, or cable not secured.
If it is a new computer, take it back to the supplier and have them fix it.
