Error Loading RUNDLL32EXE.C:\WINDOWS\system32\NvMcTray.dll

I have an error when starting up my Windows XP Home Edition. It says it can
not locate the file. All it says and optionof just clicking OK. Then its ok,
seems to be. This happens when I turn it on. Can I fix this myself with a
detailed instructions of step-by-step information? Is this a serious error?
Does anyone know how to fix this and help? These are the Dynamic Files I read
up on in Windows. Looked for this certain file:
(C:\WINDOWS\System32\NvMcTray.dll) but cant's find where to recover it or
just get it back where its suppose to be. My system diagnoses show it's there
but isn't running. N/A though, for me to get it, thats the whole Idea. How
did this happen? Did I do it somehow, without my knowledge? Anyways, I
appreciate all help & how-to-do's in resolving. I'm just a basic intermediate
level, in PC knowledge. THANKS VERY MUCH FOR ALL TIME & HELP!

Hi MTSpaces,

No. This is not a serious problem at all.

NvMcTray.dll is related to your NVIDIA graphics card:

Did you uninstall your nVidia software lately?

Hello Ramesh,

Ive went 2 bleeping and got the program file NvMcTray.dll and placed into
C:/Windows/System32. I then seen that I do have this file or program, so now
have 2. Then did the Start>Run> and typed in misconfig. Which then opened my
System Configuration and clicked on the Start Tab 2 see if it was in the list
and it was. So had the program the whole time, really. I then unchecked it.
So now my PC in in Selective Start-up Mode. Instead of Normal. Is that ok?
Not hurting anything am I? Well let me know if this was the rite thing 2 do,
and again appreciate all your time and help!! Thax-A-Million!

Yes. The "Selective Startup" message is normal. You did the right thing.

Where did you get the DLL file from? Perhaps from the NVIDIA driver/software CD-ROM?
