Error loading C:\windows\image.dll

Hi all the kind souls out there,
When i start up my PC, this msg: "Error loading
C:\windows\image.dll" appears........ i really dunno wat
to do to get rid of this msg.
Is there something wrong with my xp??

It sounds like you may have a hijacker onboard. Go to
http://computercops.biz/downloads-cat-14.html and download the very latest
version of CWShredder. Unzip it and run it (close IE and click on 'Fix')
and allow it to fix all it finds. Reboot your PC afterwards.

Hi there...
Try the following:
Click Start, Run, and type:
regedit
In left-hand pane click the plus signs in front of each of the
following:
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windos\CurrentVersion|Run
Once you get to Run and click on it to highlight it on the left...to the
right you may see:
image REG_SZ rundll32 c:\Windows\image.dll,install
delete image.dll,install

Also...while still in the registry editor:
Click plus signs in the left-hand pane to expand each of the following:
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\explorer\run

When you click to highlight run in the left-hand pane, in the
right-hand pane you may find:
image REG_SZ rundll32 c:\Windows\image.dll,install
delete image.dll,install

Close the registry editor.
You also may want to run the free programs:
Lavasoft AdAware and
Spybot S&D
(capturing any spyware, browser hijackers, and many other problems on
your system)
Keep updated Anti-Virus software.
Use firewall.
May also want to run a program to detect trojans etc...such as:
The Cleaner
