Error; Insufficient RAM to Launch Application

I received the an error message ("Insufficient RAM to
Launch Application") when I started Macromedia's Extreme
3D 2 and Fontographer 4.01. When I set the Virtual Memory
to less than 1GB the Fontographer program started working,
but the Extreme 3D still gave me the same error message. I
then installed the program on another computer with only
384MB ram and again received the same error message. I
have come to the conclusion that the problem is a Windows
2000 pro issue. Does anyone know how how to fix this
problem.
