Error installing WinXP

HI,

I am upgrading from Win 98 to Win XP but it gives allways
a fatal error 556FF58h when it is preparing the setup.
What`s the problem?

Not sure about the code, will look on Google to see if gets
a hit. [Nope] But in general it sounds like you have some
hardware problem, such as bad RAM. Maybe some hardware is
not XP ready. Did you run the XP compatibility check (it is
on the CD) before you tried the upgrade?

Are you doing an upgrade or clean install? Have you read
the Microsoft instructions for installing XP?

Try uninstalling/disabling your Anti Virus program prior to the setup.
