Error installing quicktime

Hi all,

I am having a problem installing the new version of quick time, the
installer gets about 80% done, then it shows the following message.

"The wizard was interrupted before QuickTime could be completely installed.
the system has not been modified."

The event viewer shows that it errored out, but it doesn't give any
information. I don't have Antivirus running, and I get the same message
under safe mode, any ideas?

I cannot give you a reason why that is not working but I can offer you an
alternative.

Plays quicktime files fine with no problems and is a smaller install and
less of a memory hog.
