Error installing Adminpak

S

Steve Jackson

Hi, I am trying to install the Adminpak on windows2000 Pro.

Problem is that it errors with a Windows File Protection
Box saying that i need to insert service pack 3 cd.

I am installing it from a network drive.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Steve

At a guess, you have SP3 installed, but you're running the adminpak.msi file
from the original CD-ROM.

What you should do is to run "w2ksp3.exe -x" to extract the service pack
files and then run the SP3 adminpak.msi file from there.

Regards

Oli
