Adminpak?

I know this has been discussed a couple times on this newsgroup, but I still
see no resolution.

Has Microsoft released any kind of update that allows the Server 2003 MMC's
to run on Vista? I'm using RC2 in a test environment and need to figure this
out so that we can begin using the final version in a week or two when it's
available to us.

Adminpak for Server 2003 SP1 fails sayiong it must be Windows XP or later.
The original Server 2003 Adminpak installs, but doesn't display AD Users and
Computers even though my machine is a member of the domain and I'm logging in
as a domain admin. I've tried recompiling the MSI as was suggested elsewhere
on the Internet to get the SP1 Adminpak to install, but it gives me the same
error for AD Users and Computers.

I really cant believe there's no solution to this since Microsoft is
releasing this to Enterprises within the next week or so. Who's going to put
this in production when something as basic as a management console isn't
supported?

Can anyone help with this, or are we all out of luck?

Thanks,

Mike

I don't know why you are having problems, I copied the adminpak from my CD
to my desktop, double-clicked and away it went, have you tried the program
compatability wizard?

I don't think that would help. The intaller runs, but when I try to open the
AD Users and Computers MMC I get an error message stating that the snap-in
could not be opened.

Which part would the compatibility wizard be helpful with do you think; the
install or the running of the MMC's?
