Error In Windows Defender Since the Nov 7 Update

This morning I woke up to a new error on my test bed box, can anyone tell me
what this error means?

Windows Defender encountered an error: 0x800703eb Cannot complete this
function.

This is a new one for me.

I found the errors in the Windows Event Log:

There are two instances of it happening on two different files:

First Time:

Windows Defender engine has been terminated due to an unexpected error.

Failure Type: Crash

Exception code: 0xc0000096

Resource: file:M:\Windows OneCare Backup\GATEWAY\2006\Files\Part
158.zip->C\Documents and Settings\xxxxx\My Documents\SimCity 4\Regions\New
York\City - New City (11).sc4

Second Time:

Windows Defender engine has been terminated due to an unexpected error.

Failure Type: Crash

Exception code: 0xc0000005

Resource: file:C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded
Installations\DiskeeperProUpd\{F0BAA5C2-E93E-4162-B41A-C96A45769515}\Diskeeper Professional Edition.msi->(MSI Stream 82)->DfrgSnap.dll

These two instances are the first time this has happened and it was 11/8 and
11/9 during the nightly scan. By the way both of these happened for the first
time after Windows Defender said it was successfully updated. Previous to
this update it ran through the scan without a hitch. The text from the update
is below:

Installation Successful: Windows successfully installed the following
update: Definition Update 1.14.1826.9 for Windows Defender (KB915597)

Thanks.

Hi Kliebor

There are a couple of interesting posts in both this group and Online
Community which may relate to your problem - which, it seems, may be more
hardware than software related. To view these posts type your error number in
the `Search for` box, select the appropriate Newsgroup from the drop down
menu and select Go.

Hope this helps.
