Error in opening chart in Power Point 2003

Hi,

I am using MS Office 2003 and keep getting the following
error message in Power Point when I try to edit a
chart: "The server application, source file, or item
can't be found, or returned an unknown error. You may
need to reinstall the server application"

The problem happens :
a. when I insert a chart, move to another slide, come
back to the first slide and try to edit the chart on it.
b. when I try to edit a chart on presentations that were
created using previous versions of Power Point.

I've tried to reinstall the entire Microsoft Office 2003
several times, including the service pack, but the
problem still exists. I would really appreciate any help
on this.
