Error in loading DLL, using CurrentProject.Connection

Hi,

Since a couple of days, I got, all of a sudden, an error message each time I
try to use the CurrentProject.Connection. The message says "Error in loading
DLL", and that's all.

After visiting forums, I found I had to reinstall MDAC 2.8, but when I try
to do this in Windows XP Pro SP2, I get the following error message:

MDAC 2.8 RTM
MDAC 2.8 RTM is incompatible with this version of Windows. All of its
features are currently part of Windows.

And of course, I can't go further.

Can anyone help????

Thanks in advance,

I have the same problem so I would be grateful if someone would suggest
something.

I know it is some kind of an installation problem because all databases that
try to use CurrentProject.Connection have the problem on one PC (running
Office 11) and work fine on other PCs (running either Office 10 or 11).

I have tried reinstalling access but that did not help.

Any suggestion would be welcome as the PC with the problem is MINE so at the
moment I can only do database development in the evenings and at weekends!!!
