Problem with Access 2003 & MDAC 2.8 SP1

Hi all,

I have an Access 2003 database that works fine!!

One machine has Access 2003 SP1 and MDAC 2.8 installed. Access opens the db
without problems.

I have Access 2003 SP1 and MDAC 2.8 SP1 installed on another machine. Access
comes up with the following message when I try to open the same db:

"Cannot open a database created with a previous version of your application.
(Error 3041)"

And suggest to compact the db. Well, when I try to do that, I get the same
error above.

Any suggestions how to overcome this problem?
