Error in Excel 2007 code

When you open an Excel 2007 workbook there are 2 sets of border icons. One
set allows you to minimise, maximise or close the workbook. The other set
should do the same for the application but the close icon does not work - it
just closes the active workbook. Is there somewhere errors like this can be
reported? It seems silly if they designed it that way - what is the point
of having 2 buttons to close a workbook and no button to close the
application?

(I know I can do it with Alt-F4 but that can be dangerous if you have
clicked outside the Excel window without realising it).

Hi Lorne

Double click on the Office button(big round button on the left) if you want to close the App

Thanks for that. All very clever but I do not know why Microsoft go to the
trouble of displaying 3 lines of help in a tool tip when you hover over it
but do not mention that useful feature !

(ps I still think the top close button should close the application but it
does not bother me much any more).

I agree with you that it is strange that it not display this Tip

The set for the workbook is different because if you have different windows open
of the workbook you can close the active one with this set.
If you have one window it will do the same as the top close button
