error ie 6.0 internet-optimizer

I have problems with ie 6.0 /win 98 gives me constantly
error messages (in generaly terms a have found an error
and close down IE<<9)and restart the browser and a new
(like the first one) error message arise. When problems
by connecting to the internet often appears www.internet-
optimizer.com a page i never had made any attempt to reach
or as a start page. Can i just uninstall ie and replace it
with a new installed version?
